PrimeTech boosts commitment to excellence, achieves ISO 9001:2015 certification
Engineering design subsidiary of Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, PrimeTech Design and Engineering Nigeria Ltd, during the week, attained the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Certification, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey toward operational excellence, continuous improvement, and world-class service delivery.
The certification serves as an independent validation that PrimeTech’s Quality Management System complies with globally accepted standards established by the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO), demonstrating the company’s ability to consistently deliver engineering and consultancy services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
The achievement marks the culmination of more than a decade of sustained investment in quality management. PrimeTech began strengthening its quality systems through structured internal audits in 2015 while operating under the certification framework of its parent company, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc. As the company expanded its workforce, project portfolio, and client base, it initiated the process of securing an independent certification reflective of its own operational maturity.
Presenting the certificate, Country Director of the German Society for the Certification of Quality Management Systems (DQS), Mr. Ogudu Lawrence, commended PrimeTech for its dedication to quality and continuous improvement.
“PrimeTech’s attainment of ISO 9001:2015 certification reflects a strong commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and continual improvement. The organisation has demonstrated that it possesses the systems, structures, and processes necessary to consistently deliver services that meet international standards and client expectations,” Lawrence said.
Describing the achievement as a significant milestone, he noted that ISO 9001:2015 remains the global benchmark for organisations seeking sustainable success through customer-focused operations, process efficiency, and continual improvement.
Moving forward, Lawrence informed all that achieving the certificate is not the end-all of any company’s quest for excellence, saying that DQS is going to continually come to check whether the requirements that qualified PrimeTech for the certification still exist and is being improved upon. “We can take the certificate from you in case of any short fall in standards. The certificate can be taken from you from Germany without even calling us. We didn’t issue it anyway. So, you must continue. There must be a surveillance audit every year. The purpose of the audit is to check whether those things that we saw are still there or you have improved on them.”
Speaking on the achievement, PrimeTech’s General Manager, Christian Moesmer excitedly, described the certification as a defining moment in the company’s growth and development. “This certification represents a major milestone in our journey of excellence.
